Description
Demons are creatures that come from another realm to cause destruction in your world. Demons can destroy villages and biomes by burning them to the ground. These creatures actively fight cold ones, snowmen, races and many other creatures. Demons are malicious beings killing any living being within sight causing havoc across the world by spreading fire. Demons, Fire Skulls, and Fire Elementals are friends.
Demons can be spawned by the player, flame towers, units, rage status, or Hellspawn disaster.

Theme of Demon
Flame Sword
All demons that come into existence in any way except with the rage status (see section below this one) will have a flame sword. Flame swords are impossible to obtain from any source other than a demon's hands. When a civ unit kills a demon, they will usually immediately replace their weapon with the flame sword (unless their current weapon is of higher value), which is the one of the strongest weapon in the game. The flame sword has a special modifier that allows it to set things on fire and display special fire particles. If a unit with the sword dies from natural causes, the sword will be passed into their village's storage to be redistributed or deleted.
Units will prefer to keep weapons made out of adamantine over fire swords (except in cases where a fire sword has several modifiers boosting its value).

Inner Demons (Rage)
When a unit has theFile:Rage10x.pngrage status there is a 10% chance they will turn into a demon when killing an enemy solider during the Age of Chaos. For a solider to be considered an enemy the two units' kingdoms must be at war (this makes it impossible for any non-civ to become a demon). The rage status is obtained from rage clouds formed by the player or naturally during the Age of Chaos.
When this does occur the unit does not transform into a normal demon. Instead they turn into what is called an "Inner Demon". The only difference being that they do not have flame swords but keep any weapons and traits they had before turning. This allows for you to find demons with armor, bows and any other items besides just a flame sword.
Inner Demons will gain the normal demon traits but will lose these traits:

Trivia
- A demon named Mastef can be seen on the World of Greatness/Modern map that appears when launching worldbox on April 1st
- Reaching level 50 on the worldbox discord gives you the demon role
- The demon is used in the "under development" screen. It appears when clicking the buttons with question marks in the civilization tab
