Gold
Gold is a precious bright yellow metal. Gold is currently the only currency type resource. In the game's current state gold is very easily obtained and starts to become useless as civilizations advance.

Description
Gold Ores cannot spawn naturally throughout any biome but can be spawned in from mines.
Kingdoms/Villages can get gold from taxing their citizens. It is also generated by trading boats as they move from kingdom to kingdom five gold at a time.
Gold is mainly used to upkeep an army (villages need to have more than 10 gold to recruit new warriors, gold is not spent after warrior is hired) and maintain and construct buildings.

Buildings that Require Gold
Yearly Gold Gain Calculation
- Tax = +1 for every 2 people in a village
- Upkeep Homeless = -1 for every 1 homeless
- Upkeep Army = -1 for every 2 warriors
- Upkeep Buildings = -1 for every 2 buildings (this includes docks, town halls and other buildings)
Yearly Gain = Taxes - Upkeep Army - Upkeep Buildings - Upkeep Homeless
If the yearly gain is negative it is automatically set to zero.
