Temples are a structure that can be built once the culture of a village has discovered the "Temples" knowledge, which can be unlock at culture level 14. Temples take different forms depending on the race the temple is constructed by. Temples provide +2 max houses to a village and only one can be built per village. Temples also serve as decoration and a symbol of village wealth.
Temples also make sound when the player zooms in close to them:

- The human temple might be based off the Angel of Independence in Mexico.
