Description[edit]
Volcanoes and Geysers are natural wonders being the only natural buildings that fire projectiles. Currently, only volcanoes can spawn naturally when generating worlds, both geysers only appear when placed by the player.
Volcanoes[edit]
One volcano will spawn naturally in the first map that is generated whenever you start the game, but they will not spawn in any subsequently generated maps in the same game session. They will spawn in the center of maps (even if the center happens to be water) and immediately begin to spew lava, which is launched about 10 tiles away from the center of a volcano. Surprisingly creatures that are lucky enough to escape lava are not inflicted with the burning status after leaving.
Geysers[edit]
Normal geysers will spew water as soon as they are placed. Geysers can launch water much farther than volcanoes can launch lava. When geysers are placed next to buildings they can be very useful for civilizations as they can put out fires easily, and speed up growth of wheat nearby. Unlike volcanoes and acid geysers, water geysers will not produce any tiles, but their water can stimulate the spread of existing biomes nearby.
Acid Geysers[edit]
Acid geysers will spew acid as soon as they are placed resulting in removal of any original biome and the creation of the wasteland biome. Acid geysers can spew acid much farther than volcanoes can spew lava. Acid geysers can be quite the hassle for civilizations, as they damage units and buildings, but do not create unreachable areas like volcanoes do, so units will continue to move and build within its range, and units are not capable of destroying acid geysers.
Stats[edit]
Info on stats:
- Smoke Interval - the interval at which smoke effect appears on the volcano / geyser. Units are in months.
- Height - start height is that height at which drops appear. Their eventual target height is a random value between min height and max height
- Drop interval - the time interval between the spawning of drops. Units are in months.
- Drop radius - the target height of a drop is a random value between drop min radius and drop max radius.
