Flora

• File:IconSeedPermafrost - Scaled 10x.pngThis biome is made using the permafrost Seeds power. If you surround snowy mountain tiles with the permafrost biome the snow will not melt unless the current Age is Sun, Chaos or Wonders
• File:IconFertilizerTrees10x.pngThe only trees that can grow into this environment are the hardy and adaptable spruce trees
• File:IconFertilizerPlants10x.pngThe thick covering of snow depriving the grass and small plants of sunlight, making the dirt barren of almost any plant life, save for some blue flowers and small weeds. The foods unique to this biome include snow cucumbers and pine cones

Trivia

• Added in version 0.21.0
• Lemons used to be obtainable from forest soil in this biome. This was a bug caused by a mis-input in the code by the developers (see error in TopTileLibrary of game's code in 0.22)
• During the Age of Ice and Despair the whole world is covered in snow except the permafrost and infernal biome
• Originally, it was one of the first ones out of the three biomes that was originally added into the game before version 0.12.02 but it was added as a placeable biome with seeds in 0.21.0
