This page is to be used for documentation of all the bugs found in the upcoming beta for 0.50.

Balancing Issues (3)[edit]

  • File:Slowness10x.pngSlow Village/Population Development
    • Populations quickly stagnate or never grow. Buildings are left at their initially tiers and eventually abandoned
    • They seem to focus too much on gathering food from berry bushes and herbs and/or expanding village zones at first instead of chopping down trees to build houses or reproduce
    • Might be somewhat tied to male and female conscription culture techs (more info)

    • Plots happen very quickly and are hard to notice and unlock
  • File:IconCrabBomb10x.pngMob Domination
    • Lots of mobs spawn very quickly and crowd the world. Very noticeable with snowmen

Bugs (7)[edit]

  • File:-Nature Lovers-.pngPeaceful Monsters Not Fully Working
    • The peaceful monsters worldlaw doesn't work for everything and creatures will still attack each other in situations like yelling/swering

  • File:IconCrab scaled 10x.pngCrabs Drowning
    • Crabs will take damage in all water levels. They have to go into water to gather food so they will kill themselves=
  • File:Icon borderstealing10x.pngBorders Being Stolen When They Shouldn't
    • When the stealing borders world law is enable villages will steal zones from each other even if they are in the same kingdom and not at war (more info)
  • File:IconSpectate 10x.pngBlack-Out Full Screen
    • When trying to take an external screenshot or record the game in full screen it will black out your screen and minimize the worldbox window. The solution to this for now is disable full screen mode in settings
  • File:-Zone Control 3-.pngExpanding into Water and Mountains
    • When kings/leaders go to expand a village's zones they will sometimes expand out into water and mountains where there is no land/habitable land when claiming multiple zones at once

    • There are no checks for this achievement in the code
  • File:Minimap flag10xEDIT.pngArmy and Captains
    • Soldiers are not following captains
  • File:BookStack10x.pngNo Books in Village After Plot (this has not been replicated, not counted)
    • There will be no books in a village's storage even after one of its residents completing a plot for one

Visual Bugs (7)[edit]

  • File:IconInspect10x.pngHidden Discovery Circles
    • The blue "discovery circles" for traits are hidden (or mostly hidden) behind some sprites (most noticeable with phenotypes)
  • File:Civ acid gentleman10x.png Eye of Insight Inconsistencies
    • Eye of Insight will put question marks over certain non-standard civilization units (Examples: Acid Gentlemen, Garlic Men, Lulliars, Mages, Greg, etc.) despite having no traits to unlock.
  • File:Achievements theKing10x.pngKing and Leader Icon Bounce
    • The zoomed out icons for kings and leaders have more of a bounce to them that is closely linked with unit movement. Some players find this annoying
  • File:IconStrongMinded10x.pngStrong Mind Trait Creature List
    • The strong mind trait lists the black ant three times and one creature is a question mark rather than an icon or silhouette
  • File:IconUfo scaled 10x.pngUFO Stamina Bar
    • UFOs have 1 stamina but despite this their bar will only partially full
  • File:IconSeedBirch10x.pngBirch Biome Description
    • Says "It's ripples" instead of "It's ripply/ripplely" or "It ripples"
  • File:Subspecies trait spicy kids10x.pngSpicy Kids Description
    • Says "a babies" instead of just "babies"
  • File:Shielded10x.pngRite Of Unbroken Shield
    • The "Of" is capitalized when all other rites use "of"

Feature Bugs (7)[edit]

These are “bugs” that may be intentionally created or create scenarios unintended yet could be seen as a feature of the game.

  • File:IconBurningFeet10x.pngDemon Civ Fire Trails
    • Demon civs burning feet trait messes up village development and makes windmills very difficult for them to use (demons will sometimes waste their entire lives at windmills)
    • It is recommended that players edit a demon's subspecies traits to not have the burning feet trait.
  • File:Achievements traits explorer religion10x.pngReligion Similarity
    • Religions seem to not be diverse enough and have the same traits
  • File:IconUnlucky10x.pngUnlucky Meteorite
    • Still doesn't have a history log message and can't be disable separated from other "other disasters"
  • File:IconTiny10x.pngBaby Tornado and Ant World Achievements
    • Both of these achievements unlock the tiny trait
  • File:ChildrenS10x.pngPlaying Task and World Border
    • When Finishing the playing task units are stunned and slightly knocked back. This knock back can send them outside the world border and kill them
  • File:IconCrabzilla scaled 10x.pngCrabzilla Clone
    • You can use the clone rain to spawn multiple crabzillas (will likely not be "fixed")
  • File:Achievement mindless husk10x.pngSleep Cycle Mix
    • You can mix the prolonged rest trait with polyphasic and monophasic sleep

Preferences (6)[edit]

These are things that players may want to be changed but aren't really bugs.

    • When zoomed out there is a strong constant wind sound that some players dislike and wish for an option to disable it

    • Honey on beehives is bright and contrasts undesirably for some players
  • File:IconTutorialBear scaled 10x.pngTutorial Bear "Super Worldbox"
    • Suggest to be changed to just worldbox. "Super Worldbox" really isn't used anymore besides the worldbox site url
  • File:TutorialbearExampleBrushButton.pngBrush Menu Indicator
    • Suggestion for there to be some sort of indicator for what brush you have selected
  • File:Subspecies trait water creature10x.pngAquatic Trait
    • The aquatic subspecies trait is not sorted into the adaptation category and instead the body category. It does not have a close, similar effect as other adaptation traits so this may be the reason

Fixed Bugs![edit]

  • File:Achievement minefield10x.pngMinefield Achievement Incorrect Description
    • The minefield achievement only requires 100 years instead of 1000.
    • Fix: Set back to 1000 and the comma in the description was removed
  • File:IconSlow10x.pngSlow Towers and Spawners
    • Towers and spawners take a while to spawn units
  • File:Chicken Egg.pngTowers and Disaster Spawning Eggs
    • Towers will spawn eggs instead of units (has been tested with angle towers and flame towers). Ice towers still summon children
    • Fix: Towers now spawn adult units again
    • Age of Sun disaster spawns fire elementals as eggs instead of units
  • File:IconTornado10x.pngStorm of Hundred Twisters
    • Fix: Storm of Hundred Twisters now works
  • File:IconDivineScar10x.pngSubspecies having the GMO trait without being modified
    • This happens to most if not all species. This does not happen to just miracle born creatures (which some don't think would make sense anyway) but also naturally spawning ones.
    • Fix: No longer happens
  • File:Fireman10x.pngFire Elemental Unlock
    • To unlock fire elementals you need to find the humanoid one. The other ones don't work
    • Fix: Now works for all fire elementals
  • File:IconImmortal10x.pngImmortal Trait Not Working
    • The effects of the immortal trait on a unit's individual max health seems to disable when reloading worlds. Seems to reenable when adding any trait to units with the trait
    • Fix: Addressed cache issue with reloading worlds (other traits had a similar lost effects on reload but weren't widely noticed)

Misinterpreted Bugs[edit]

Aspects of the beta that have been mistakenly construed as bugs

  • File:IconAges10x.pngAge Clock Drag Selection
    • You cannot drag age icons onto the clock, instead you have to click when selected on a specific segment. This is a similar with most other menus
    • Some dragging mechanics have been modified to be able to use in menus in the 0.50.1 patch
