Every 0.6-1.2 months, the watch tower scans nearby chunks for enemies, every time shooting 6 arrows at any detected enemy. Watch towers will prevent villages from being captured until they are destroyed. Watch towers will also give villages +1 zone range. Watch towers can be built once a culture unlocks the "Watch Tower" knowledge, which can be unlocked as early as culture level 16. They will only be built near village borders where few buildings are present. The number of watch towers that can be built per village is only 1 with just the watch tower knowledge. The rare knowledge "Fortification" and a level 2 alliance both increase the limit by 1. The limit is also increased by 1 for every 10 warfare the village leader has (capped at 2). With all these factors combined result in the watchtower limit being 5 per village. <gallery> File:-Watch Tower-.png|Watch Tower Knowledge File:-Fortification-.png|Fortification Knowledge File:Watchtower fight.png|Fight with skeletons </gallery> === Sound of Tower === ==List== {| class="mw-collapsible fandom-table" !Human !Elf !Dwarf !Orc !Condition |- | | | | |Normal |- | | | | |Ruin |} ==Trivia== * Watch towers used to be able to shoot while is under construction until version 0.12.02. * Watch towers were added in version 0.10.0. <gallery> File:Watchtower - Early FanMade.png|Fanmade watchtower concept (made before watch towers were released) </gallery>
