OldFeature Still exists in a similar form but info has been moved to Unit Stats page Nearly all creatures can level up, which is achieved by gaining experience (XP). Units can get XP most commonly from killing other creatures. The easiest way to level up a unit is to trap it inside an area using mountain tiles, filling up the area with a weaker creature (like grasshoppers or beetles) and then giving the unit madness. Known sources of XP include: * Kill Hit +12 XP (kills that don't involve hits give 10 xp) * Hit +2 XP (projectiles, like arrows, count as hits) * Each year a king rules +20 XP * Each year a leader rules +10 XP The amount of XP needed to reach the next level from level X is given by EXP = 20 Γ X + 80. All units have the same experience points (XP or EXP) requirement to level up for each level. Every time a unit levels up it will gain a fixed amount of stats: * +20 health * +1 attack speed * +0.5 damage All units have a default max level of 10, but this limit can be increased by the Heroes knowledge (+2) and being a member of a level 5 alliance (+1), leading to a highest possible level of 13. <small>"Total" takes into account all previous level bonuses/requirements. So level 3 is 40 health, 1 attack speed, and 1 damage + base stats</small> {| class="fandom-table" !Level !XP Needed !Total XP Needed !Total Stats !Kills/Hits Needed !Total Kills/Hits Needed !Total King's Rule !Other Requirements |- | 1 |0 |0 | Unit's base stats |0 Kills |0 Kills |0 Years | |- | 2 |100 |100 | +20 Health, +1 Attack Speed, +.5 Damage |8 Kills, 2 Hits |8 Kills, 2 Hits | 5 Years |Units start at this level if they are affected by Ancestors Knowledge at birth |- |3 |120 |220 | +40 Health, +2 Attack Speed, +1 Damage |10 Kills |18 Kills, 2 Hits |11 Years | |- |4 | 140 |360 | +60 Health, +3 Attack Speed, +1.5 Damage |11 Kills, 4 Hits | 30 Kills | 18 Years | |- |5 |160 |520 | +80 Health, +4 Attack Speed, +2 Damage |13 Kills, 2 Hits |43 Kills, 2 Hits |26 Years | |- |6 |180 | 700 | +100 Health, +5 Attack Speed, +2.5 Damage | 15 Kills |58 Kills, 2 Hits |35 Years | |- |7 |200 |900 | +120 Health, +6 Attack Speed, +3 Damage |16 Kills, 4 Hits |75 Kills |45 Years | |- |8 |220 |1120 | +140 Health, +7 Attack Speed, +3.5 Damage |18 Kills, 2 Hits |93 Kills, 2 Hits | 56 Years | |- |9 |240 |1360 | +160 Health, +8 Attack Speed, +4 Damage | 20 Kills |113 Kills, 2 Hits |68 Years | |- |10 |260 |1620 | +180 Health, +9 Attack Speed, +4.5 Damage |21 Kills, 4 Hits |135 Kills |81 Years |Normal Max Level |- |11 |280 | 1900 | +200 Health, +10 Attack Speed, +5 Damage |23 Kills, 2 Hits |158 Kills, 2 Hits | 95 Years |Level 5 Alliance or Heroes Knowledge |- | 12 |300 |2200 | +220 Health, +11 Attack Speed, +5.5 Damage |25 Kills |183 Kills, 2 Hits |110 Years |Heroes Knowledge |- |13 |320 |2520 | +240 Health, +12 Attack Speed, +6 Damage |26 Kills, 4 Hits | 210 Kills |126 Years |Level 5 Alliance and Heroes Knowledge |} ==Extra Info== * At level 10 units without the necessary requirements will stop gaining xp at 260/280 * You may be confused to see that sometimes stats don't increase the expected amount when checking the updated level of a unit. This is because things like units age, traits and items can also influence a units stats. For example when intentionally leveling a unit after level 3 should give the unit the veteran trait * When units turn into another unit they lose their previous level and get set back to one * When looking at levels in the code it appears that itβs supposed to increase armor by .333r each level. This does not happen in-game, it is assumed that it is bugged in some way ==Other Leveling Systems== *Alliances have 5 levels *Clans have 5 levels *Cultures have 59-63 levels (depending on race)
