Rebellions are an event that can occur within kingdoms that causes the nation to split into two kingdoms. == Why do rebellions happen? == Rebellions occur after certain conditions and events cause a village(s)'s loyalty score to drop below 0, at which point the leader of said village may begin planning a rebellion. There are a variety of factors that can cause a loyalty stat to go down. Factors that most commonly cause rebellions in game are: *Distance from the capital *Different cultures and clans *Current conflicts the kingdom is involved in For more info on the specifics that cause rebellions to happen see "Conditions" below or rebellions on the plots page. Clear ==Rebellion Planning== To the left and right here you can see the leader of the "Stem District" is planning a rebellion in the kingdom "The Florencia Empire".<gallery> File:Planning menu.png|Planning Menu File:Rebellion Being Planned.png|Map View </gallery><small>Info can be found on the Plots page.</small> ===Conditions=== Order of checks to start a rebellion plot (only leaders can plan war): #Can not if there is already another rebellion being planned in the kingdom. #Kingdom has a capital #Kingdom is 15 years old or older #The city is not a capital # City has at least 10 warriors # # = capital's army - (capital's army x (Amount of unhappy cities (loyalty <= 0) x 0.1)) - If the result is not greater than the amount of warriors in a city then that city will not revolt #If kingdom quantity of cities is less than or equal to 6 then cities will not revolt as long as the kingdom has not past max villages. # If the kingdom is not the main defender during a rebellion #City loyalty is 0 or less #Costs 500 influence Order of checks to complete a rebellion plot: #Leader that is planning does not become king #World Laws for rebellions and diplomacy stay enabled ==Started Rebellion== Below you can see the result of completing the rebellion plan. As you can see the Stem District also brought other villages with low loyalty to rebel against The Florencia Empire and immediately The Florencia Empire declared war against this new kingdom.<gallery> File:Rebellion Plan complete.png|Result of succsessful rebellion plan File:War Menu for a Rebellion.png|Rebellion Menu </gallery> ==Inspiration Power== The player is able to force a rebellion using the Inspiration power found in the Civilizations, Kingdoms and Villages Tab (2nd tab from the left). This power can be used on any village that isn't a capital and cause it to instantly start a rebellion. This power does not work the same as a normal rebellion as it can't bring other villages with it into rebellion. Another difference with rebellions started using the Inspiration power is that the war type is marked as "Inspired" instead of "Rebellion". Clear ==Multi-Rebellions== Multi-Rebellions are when multiple rebellions within the same kingdom happen and those rebellious kingdoms join forces against the kingdom they left. This happens whenever two rebellious kingdoms are present at the same time that both broke off from the same kingdom. So one kingdom may have rebelled 2 years ago in-game but if they are still alive (and still in rebellion) by the time another faction possibly breaks off from the same kingdom they are from they will join forces against their parent kingdom. If one of the rebelling kingdoms is destroyed during a multi-rebellion, the war will usually end and the other revolting kingdom(s) that were in the rebellion are no longer at war with the old kingdom. It is unknown if kingdoms that are in the process of rebelling together against their parent kingdom will naturally declare war on each other in natural gameplay. Using the whisper of war on a pair of allies during a multi-rebellion will instantly take the defender out of the rebellion and put them at war with kingdom you used the whisper of war on first. The "attacking ally" will stay in the rebellion (confirm, may need further testing). Multi-Inspirations do not occur they stay as separate rebellions. Inspirations can not mix with rebellions to form a Multi-Rebellion. ==Capital Rebellions == Despite the checks embedded within the rebellions plot, capitals can still, in rare cases, revolt. The way this happens is a city meets all checks to start a rebellion plot but then mid planning the city becomes a capital. Cities can become capitals in cases in which their kingdom is the initiators of a war and there capital is captured and/or when the capital is destroyed. As long as the city leader that is planning the rebellion does not become king then the plot will continue and the capital will rebel. After this happens the original kingdom will declare war on the newly formed kingdom and the rebellion will continue as normal. Sometimes there can be a delay on the original kingdom turning one of its remaining cities into a capital. This post is a recording of capital rebelling against a kingdom: https://www.reddit.com/r/Worldbox/comments/1d9xezs/comment/l7hdmwg/?context=3
