Lightning is a destructive power that sets pixels on fire, inflicts heavy knockback upon creatures and inflicts damage to the [[:Category:Creatures|creatures]] struck.  Any unit struck by lightning, which does not already have the immortal trait, has a 20% chance to gain the traits [[Traits|immortal]] and [[Traits|energized]].

== Uses ==
* Knock [[UFOs]] and [[Robot Santa|Robot Santas]] out of the sky (large size only)
* Disable and re-enable [[Volcano and Geysers|volcanoes and geysers]] (large size only)
* Repeated strikes heat up pixels, eventually turning them into lava (large size only)
* 20% chance to give the [[Traits|Energized]] and [[Traits|Immortal]] traits to creatures when struck
*Set fire to pixels and deal damage to [[:Category:Creatures|creatures]] and [[:Category:Buildings|buildings]]
*Cause liquid bodies, volcanoes, acid geysers, and geysers to spew their respective liquid. 
*Split [[tornado|tornadoes]] in two, can be used for the "Baby Tornado" [[Achievements|achievement]]
*Destroy [[God Fingers]] to grant the "Move It" [[Achievements|achievement]]
*Striking lava will trigger the "Lava strike" [[Achievements|achievement]]
