=== Reproductive Process ===
When the village has satisfied the above conditions, it will try to find villagers who can become parents. These villagers must satisfy the following conditions:

* [[Unit Stats|Fertility rate]] > 0
* At least 8 months have passed since they last reproduced

Reproduction can occur with two villagers, or with one single villager. 

* If there is only one villager left who can reproduce, they will reproduce on their own (regardless of their gender). 
** The success rate of reproduction is their fertility stat. 
** Their offspring inherit their traits and skin color.
* If there are multiple villagers who can reproduce, the village will choose a spouse for them. The two spouses can be of any gender combination.  
** The success rate of reproduction is the fertility stat of the first villager (which is random)
** Their offspring inherit the [[traits]] of both parents (at the given inheritance rates), and their skin color will be an average of the skin colors of the parents
*** If parents both have the same inheritable trait the inheritance chance for that trait will be rolled twice
