===Crab===

*Crabs are able to burrow in the ground to protect themselves
**Specifically, two conditions must be satisfied in order for a crab to burrow
***There are creatures not belonging to the "crab" [[Creature Kingdoms|creature kingdom]] or not friendly with it within the same or adjacent 16×16 chunks (including diagonal chunks)
***The crab's hunger is 50 or above. So, if constantly surrounded by creatures, they will only un-burrow themselves to eat
**Crabs perform regular "danger checks" - if both conditions are satisfied, the burrow response is triggered, and the crab will head to a random location to burrow. Before actually burrowing, the crab performs a final check; if any of the two conditions are no longer satisfied (e.g. the other creatures are no longer within range), they will not burrow. Every time the crab burrows, they will remain in the ground for a period of '''2-4 months'''. If both of the burrowing conditions are still satisfied at the end of this period, they will remain in the ground
*Crabs lay eggs
**When the [[World Laws|animal babies]] world law is enabled, they will only lay eggs if given sufficient isolation from non-crab creatures (see [[Reproduction]] for details)
**Crab Egg Traits:

**Their eggs live for 2-3 years, hatching as soon as they turn 3
