== Information == Armies can only be created once a village has enough population and the armies world law is enabled. They do not require equipment before being formed. Soldiers go in and out of service sometimes, and have generals. === Army Generals & Behavior === Army generals aren't hired based off of stats, they are randomly selected. Their main function is to lead the army of a village to a specific location. Generals are slowed to allow their army to keep up with them. If a general's kingdom isn't at war then they usually roam around their village area with the soldiers following along but never outside the village. Armies will typically make up a square formation when idle. During war a general will lead their army to a destination such as a village of the enemy kingdom to try and take it for their own or destroy it if the enemy kingdom isn't of the same race. When a general dies, the army member which is currently geographically closest to the position of the previous general will be selected as the new general. Armies will not start an attack if they are at less than 70% of their max size. Armies will not replenish their armies if their village is under attack. If a villager becomes a warrior and the village army is currently attacking an enemy the new attacker will stay and defend the village. Armies can also be alerted by watch towers of nearby enemies, so the army may go to wherever the enemy(s) may be, and kill it/them. When a soldier/general dies, any equipment they may have goes into the respective village inventory. If a soldier/general goes out of service but they have army equipment, they typically keep the equipment until death (in which the equipment they have also goes to their village's inventory). === Army Size === [This section may need review]<br>The max size of an army scales based on the current adult population of a village. The more adults a village has the more warriors they can hire. A village can only hire up to a certain proportion of its current adult population to be warriors. This proportion can be increased by various factors: * Village Exists +0.35 * Has Leader +0.10 * Leader Warfare Stat Point +0.02 * Army Training Knowledge +0.05 to 0.15 * Alliance Level 1 +0.05 The maximum number of warriors a city can hire is obtained by multiplying this proportion with the village's current adult population. Do note while this usually gives you a correct estimate, the number of warriors in a city is often limited by other factors. Most importantly, warrior jobs are only allocated after the allocation of many other job types; if a village does not have sufficient adult population, the number of warrior jobs allocated will be smaller than this theoretical maximum. There can be other factors that cause the result to not be perfect due to rounding differences and unmentioned game effects. [This section may need review]
